Jerry Davies is a CPA and shareholder with Davies & Kerr Consulting, Inc, an accounting, tax and consulting firm. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Accounting. He has 40 years of experience, working with individuals and small businesses on the most advantageous way to set up the accounting for their business using the most automated technology. Tax planning is also a big part of the equation because taxes are the second largest expense for most businesses.
Jerry started out as a real estate investor buying his first investment property at age 19 and purchasing millions of dollars in property by his early twenties. The proper structuring of real estate deals is critical to maximizing profit, because the tax laws are complicated, constantly changing and are such a large percentage of the equation.
A prior Realtor and real estate investor for over 30 years helped develop a keen understanding of the proper structuring of real estate deals to minimize or eliminate taxes, maximize profit, and safe guard your assets.
Memberships: of AICPA, prior director for Suncoast Toastmasters and North Tampa Chamber of Commerce, director Suncoast Real Estate Investors Association and is a Quickbooks Certified Professional Advisor.

Bring any properties you have for sale or a description of any properties you are looking to buy.
We periodically hold brainstorming meetings and have found these to be very popular. Those attending have found them informative and helpful, full of different investors' opinions and valuable advice. Members and guests share their good successes and bad disasters and help each other to do things right the first time (hopefully) and to avoid pitfalls. This interaction is valuable, especially if you are new to real estate investing or experienced and ready to learn what works for others.
Some ideas for discussion can be, but are not limited to: tenant problems, i.e., notices to evict or cure; collecting money during eviction; rehabbing a house to retail-ready condition; repair or re-roof; should the kitchen stay or go; preventing a/c theft; experiences with options; marketing to sell quickly; foreclosures / short sales; wholesaling, flipping, contractors, code enforcement; and much more.
