What You Missed November 2016 General Meeting

November 1, 2016
SREIA has always been there to assist in the education of new investors and allow them to learn from experienced real estate professionals. To facilitate that education we connect with local vendors, lenders, and financial institutions that can assist in their business ventures. Many have worked with and partnered with other members to wholesale, rehab, and retail hundreds of properties.
Since we encourage communication between members, our November meeting was a repeat of our “speed networking” that we have done a couple of times in the past. To allow the most efficient communication between members we created two lines facing each other and gave each person 1 minute to explain what they were looking for, such as funding, houses, contractors, or anything that would help them in their investing business.
Once one side spoke, they switched sides and were allowed another minute for the other side to give their pitch. When the time was up we played musical chairs and one line of individuals shifted to the right and the end person moved to the beginning of the line. Just like kids, the confusion reigned supreme, but we progressed through with many people speaking to one another.
By doing this we created an atmosphere of communication between the maximum number of members and helped connect as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. Within an hour we had over 45 people communicating with each other that may never have spoken. The time went by so quickly that some people had to make an appointment to continue with a person they had talked to. That was the reason for the amount of time allotted, so we could accommodate more people.
Some of the topics discussed were: “who could provide funding for a deal one member was working on, another where the member was trying to sell a property, and many that just wanted to get more information on how to proceed in investing.”
We at SREIA hope the “Speed Networking” was profitable for each of our members and that there were quality business connections established. We also hope to see you at the next meeting, and that you make the connections you need for your success.
