What You Missed July 2018 General Meeting

SREIA has always been there to assist in the education of new investors and allow them to learn from experienced real estate professionals. To facilitate our education, we connect with local vendors, lenders, and financial institutions that can assist in our business ventures. Many have worked with and partnered with other members to wholesale, rehab, and retail hundreds of properties.
Since we encourage communication between members, our July meeting was a repeat of our “speed networking” that we have done a couple of times in the past. To facilitate efficient communication between members we created two lines sitting facing each other, and gave each person two minutes to give their “elevator speech” and ask questions about funds, houses, contractors, or anything that would assist them in their investing business.
Each side spoke, then they switched sides and were allowed another two minutes for the other side to give their pitch. When the time was up, we played musical chairs and each line of individuals shifted to the left and the end person moved to the other side. We progressed through with everyone participating.
By doing this, we created an atmosphere of communication between the maximum number of members and helped connect as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. Within an hour we had over 35 people communicating with each other that may never have connected. The time went by so quickly that some people had to make an appointment to continue with a person they had talked to. That was the reason for the minimum amount of time allotted, so we could accommodate more people.
Some of the topics discussed were: “who could provide funding for a deal one member was working on, another where the member was trying to sell a property, and many that just wanted to get more information on how to proceed in investing.” One person was interested in building “Tiny Houses” on some land for a vacation retreat.
We at SREIA hope the “Speed Networking” was profitable for each of our members and that there were quality business connections established. We also hope to see you at the next meeting, and that you make the connections you need for your success.
